Why We Built StreamFest
Hello,
We are Fearon & Jules. We’re the Co-Founders of Napa Valley StreamFest, but we are artists first. One’s a director, one’s an actress. (Take a guess.)
After meeting while working at the Napa Valley Film Festival for eight years, we launched our own production company, Ashella Productions, to finally make the films we’d been dreaming about. But let’s be real: this industry is hard. Pivoting later in life with a baby on your hip isn’t for the weak.
When we took our series UnCredited on the festival circuit, we realized the traditional film festival model was broken for modern creators. So, we did what women do: we fixed it.
We launched StreamFest to curate a stage for every storyteller—from TikTok and podcasts to reality and feature films. Our first year was a dream (we manifested Jason Segel and had dinner with a Duplass Brother), but our real goal is to be human connectors. Which is part of our Big Pivot Program and non-profit mission.
We promise that if you come to Napa, we will do our best to connect you with the right people. You will walk away with more than a badge; you’ll walk away with a community.
